Polyjet Rapid Primer

Polyjet Rapid Primer is an alkyd resin-based industrial primer. Thanks to its excellent adhesion properties, it provides a solid foundation for subsequent coatings. It features fast drying and is suitable for use on various machinery components, agricultural and household tools, tractors, trailers, compressors, transformers, automotive radiators, barrels, valves, steel cabinets, and tables. It serves as an undercoat for industrial paints.

Surface Preparation&Application
Surfaces to be coated must be free from any contaminants that could impair adhesion. Metal surfaces should be sandblasted to at least Sa2 ½ (ISO 8501-1, SSPC-SP10) grade. The blasted surface should be primed with Polyjet Rapid Primer within 6 hours. The product should be thinned according to the application equipment and mixed thoroughly until homogeneous. After the primer has fully dried (4–6 hours), the topcoat application can proceed. The surface temperature should be at least 3°C above the dew point. Application should not be performed near the dew point. A waiting period of 24 hours is required between topcoat layers.

Single-component / Thinned with Polycell Cellulosic Thinner at 30–35%

7.5–9 m²/L or 4.5–5.5 m²/kg (50–60 µ DFT)
Drying Time
Touch dry: 6–7 minutes. Fully cured: 24 hours. Chemical cure: Minimum 5 days
