POLISAN
was founded in 1964 under the official title of
Polivinil Asetat Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi A.Þ. (Polyvinyl
Acetate Chemicals Joint Stock Co.). POLISAN
broke new ground as the first company in Turkey
to manufacture paint binders, PVA based carpenters’
glue and textile finishing materials.
In 1966—only two years after the company was established—POLISAN
accomplished another first when it became the first
company in Turkey to produce formaldehyde resins.
Aiming to maximizing its productivity, POLISAN
purchased property in Gebze-Dilovasý Mevkii in 1977
and constructed the most important complex in the
Turkish Chemical Industry.
In line with its goal of entering international
markets, POLISAN founded
POLIRUS in Russia in
1991, and, in 1992, built a formaldehyde and formaldehyde
resins factory with 80.000m³ annual capacity in
Spain.
In 1993, POLISAN continued
its rapid progress by increasing its production
capacity. Decorative topcoat production reached
an annual volume of 35.000 m³.
Between 1994 and 1995, within the capacity of a
key turn project, POLISAN
founded POLISAN TUNUS
relying solely on its own technology and engineering.
In 2000, the company changed its official name from
POLITRADE A.Þ. to POLISAN Boya A.Þ. (POLISAN Paint
Joint Stock Co.) in accordance with the demands
of the market.
Founded on the principle of contiunal growth and
development, POLISAN
continues to accelerate its local and international
ventures and to be a pioneering leader in the Turkish
Chemical Industry. |
