POLİPORT was founded in 1971 to provide storage for the POLİSAN GROUP facilities at Dilovası terminal with the aim of supporting POLISAN's existing activities. In line with the increasing volume of business and the growing demands of the Turkish Chemical Industry, the terminal capacity has reached a volume of 112.000 m³. Currently, 95% of the total capacity is allocated to third parties. In 1994, docks were constructed on reclaimed land, allowing a total of 1.500.000 tons of general cargo to be loaded and unloaded annually. Since the end of 1996, “general”, “inflammable” and “explosive” cargo belonging to third parties are being stored in the 16.000 m² bonded warehouses that are part of the company premises. POLİPORT expands over a total area of 70.000 m² and has ideal connections to land, marine and rail routes. POLİPORT is located at the heart of industry in Dilovası/Gebze on the coast of the Marmara Sea, just 1 km from the TEM Motorway, 1.8 km to the E-5 Highway and 45 km from Istanbul. With its experienced and professional staff, POLİPORT provides a wide range of services in various fields. It complies fully with health, safety and environmental standards. The terminal is regularly inspected by multinational companies.
